It’s been a good year. I finally feel at home in the new place.

I managed to finally catch the nasty cold that’s been floating around for the past few weeks… It caught me on Christmas Eve. The runny nose and scratchy throat eventually turned to sneezing, coughing and a dull headache that nothing seems to help…
Luckily, Christmas was nice.
I may have enjoyed it more had I been feeling better, but it was nice to get together with the family and celebrate the holiday. Besides, my exit strategy was clear from the beginning should I have to use it. An obvious cold coupled with an authentic “I’m sick, can’t you tell” voice always works to keep the undesirables at bay.
I’ll post some pics of the festivities after another round of cold meds and a runny nose fix…

This being our first holiday at the new place, someone has decided that we should be the victim of The Twelve Days of Christmas… Twelve days of gifts left on our doorstep with a door knock and ditch. While it always takes me a little longer than most to get into the spirit, this sort of thing helps…
