Two years ago today I was lucky enough to marry my beautiful wife…
So much has happened in two years. A new house, new directions, new goals…
Thankfully, I get to share all of these things with the person I love. I look forward to many more years of life together and everything that goes with them.

In light of recent developments with my current occupation, I have decided to return to the freelance world on a part-time basis.
Honestly, I hope to keep my current position, but have come to expect the worst when it comes to the current budget situation. Sadly, government work is never merit-based. It’s about time-served and classifications… I could be ‘bumped’ out of my position by someone who held the same classification years ago but hasn’t performed the duties of my position since… Disheartening to say the least.
Luckily, I stumbled on to a new project that should be just what I need to get back into the swing of things…
I also picked up a copy of “Rework” by the good folks at 37 Signals today… and read the whole thing on the patio this afternoon. Needless to say I was inspired by their practices and have begun to rethink my own goals.
