You will need:
- Sauce pan with a lid (Deeper is better)
- Salt (if that’s your thing)
Place your raw eggs in a saucepan and fill it up with cold water to about 2 inches over the eggs. Place the uncovered pan on the stove over high heat. When the water reaches a good rolling boil, cover the pan and turn off the burner leaving the pan in place. Set your timer for 13 minutes and get your ice bath ready. After 13 minutes, carefully pour off the water while running cold water over the eggs. Leaving the eggs in the pan, refill the pan with cold water and as much ice as it will hold. Wait 5-10 minutes and enjoy a perfectly cooked, easy-to-peel hard boiled egg.
